I recommend using the 2.6.19-rc6 kernel with the j7xx userlands. There are still a few issues with the 2.6.24-stable branch yet which makes it less usable than 2.6.19-rc6. These are the most common keyboard shortcuts used in icewm to make your life easier: ctrl+esc opens the 'start menu' alt+tab cycles through open windows/applications alt+f11 (word key) full screens any active window/application alt+f10 maximizes active window/application alt+f9 minimizes active window/application alt+f4 closes active window/application ctrl+alt+h hides the taskbar ctrl+alt+f1 from inside icewm brings you to console ctrl+alt+f2 brings you back to icewm desktop ctrl+alt+backspace kills X11 and brings you back to console alt+f1 - f3 in console to switch between 3 virtual consoles type 'reboot' in console to properly shut down the system, then pull the battery. A full list of shortcuts can be found in ~/docs along with a readme on how to get the system monitor to show wireless signal strength. The mouse icon on the taskbar is used for left/middle/right click. Just click it to desired mouse click. Its also mapped to the windows key for right click, but it only seems to work in certain applications like minimo and firefox using the win key for right click. Most important of all.. do not use ipkg upgrade. Currently it causes the useland to break badly. This issue is being worked on. You can use ipkg update, just dont use ipkg upgrade. Cheers.
